It’s very light on the spices, but this makes way for the pumpkin to flourish. There is a slim bite from this beer, but it’s mainly from the carbonation. The hops in particular support this nicely, and it’s an interesting, as well as pleasing difference of take. There’s an inkling of the nutmeg pie spice element as well, but it really comes off to me as less of a dessert, and more of a freshly baked vegetable side. Mustard Yellow and pumpkin rind define this pleasantly foggy soup of a beverage, with a hefty, if rapidly vanishing head. Pours a hazy unfiltered burnt copper with a creamy beige head that leaves some minor lacing – Tim Also, maybe it’s just the name, or it could be the faint sky like details of the label but I feel like I should be searching for crop circles. We are reminded twice that this is an unfiltered offering (UFO), giving me the impression of a very detailed beer with a lot of character. The type takes up most of the label with a nondescript happy looking jack-o-lantern pasted right in the center.
